SEND (Special Education Needs)
The SEND Department will be holding their Learning Support Induction Days on Monday 1st July and Thursday 11th July 2024. These additional Induction Days are designed with the intention of supporting students with SEND education needs with the transition from primary school to St Philomena's. If your daughter is anxious about the transition, then these days will help your daughter to become more familiar with the staff and environment of the school.
During the first Induction Day your daughter will have the opportunity to work with some of our Support Assistants in the Edith Stein, our Learning Support area. Activities will help students to develop friendships and give an understanding of the school life at St Philomena's.
The second Induction Day will provide your daughter with the opportunity to receive lessons from some of our teaching staff.
Each day will start at 9.30am and finish at 2.30pm. We would ask that your daughter arrives in her current school uniform and brings a packed lunch with her.
